Sienna (In-Person and Online)

Hi, my name is Sienna, and I am a Civil Engineering student at McMaster University with a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and analytical problem-solving. I offer personalized math tutoring for students in Grades 1 through 12, with lessons tailored to each student's unique learning style, current coursework, and goals.

I strive to create a positive, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and developing a genuine understanding of the material. Whether your child needs help strengthening foundational skills, preparing for tests, completing homework, or working through more advanced concepts, I am committed to helping them succeed.

I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps so students not only learn how to solve problems, but also understand why the solutions work.

Zeeshan (In-Person and Online)

Hey! My name is Zeeshan but my friends call me Zee.

I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Honours Health science with a minor in Biology from Wilfrid Laurier University in June 2024, and currently I am pursuing a Master’s degree. With my extensive academic background, including experience in MCAT and other standardized exam preparation, I specialize in Math, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and English from grades 1-12. 

There is no “cookie-cutter” method to education. My teaching style combines different perspectives of learning from my teachers, professors, mentors, and peers across my academic and professional careers. By tailoring every lesson to a student’s unique individuality and way of thinking, I am able to transform complex concepts into manageable sequences.

I have a passion for supporting students that are navigating their pivotal final years of high school, to ensure academic success during their transition to post-secondary education and the start to their next chapter in life.

Tori (In-Person and Online)

Hello! I’m Tori.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies and a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University. During Teachers College, I worked with students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 in a variety of classrooms and subjects.

While living in Thunder Bay, I also worked as an Educational Assistant. That experience taught me how to support students not just academically, but emotionally. Especially when students become overwhelmed, overstimulated, or begin shutting down.

I can teach all subjects from Kindergarten to Grade 6, as well as High School English. I can also help with school assessments and provincial exam prep. For me, tutoring isn’t about pointing out what a student doesn’t know or what they can’t do.

It’s more about helping them when they struggle, helping them build confidence so they can walk into school the next day feeling ready for any obstacle.

Michael (In-Person & Online)

Hi, I’m Michael! I am a Biotechnology student at McMaster University with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students succeed. I specialize in Math, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics for students in Grades 9–12, and I also tutor elementary students in English and Math.

I understand how challenging certain subjects can feel, especially when small gaps in understanding begin to build up. My goal is to make difficult concepts easier to follow through clear explanations, structured problem-solving, and an encouraging approach.

I am patient, supportive, and focused on helping each student strengthen their skills, build confidence, and improve their academic performance.

It’s important for the student to feel like they perform great in difficult subjects and naturally learn to trust themselves in their abilities.

Hi! My name is Alex and I am a University of Guelph graduate with a degree in Chemistry. I offer tutoring across all grade levels, with a specialized focus in STEM courses- Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Math.

I know tackling new or complex problems can be a daunting process, but it doesn’t have to be.

I strive to provide a patient and benevolent atmosphere, and try my best to make learning a positive experience.

Something that always made me appreciate my own academic path was being able to apply what I had learned to the world around me. Understanding the “hows” and “whys” of daily occurrences helped me to appreciate the little things, and develop into a more confident and upbeat person, which in turn helped me socially and academically.

Qussai is currently studying Health Sciences at McMaster University, with a strong foundation in Math, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. He works with students from Grades 1–12, helping them overcome challenges, build confidence, and achieve consistent academic growth.

Hi! My name is Salma, and I’m a Computer Engineering graduate from Queen’s University. I tutor students in Math, Chemistry, and Physics.

I have experience working one-on-one with students and know that not every student learns the same way, so I try to find an approach that works best for each individual student.

My goal is not only to help them understand the material, but also to build their confidence and problem solving skills so they can eventually approach questions independently.

I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and taking the time they need to understand a concept.

Hi, my name is Mohammad, I am a Biology graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University with a strong background in Math, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

I work with students from Grades 1 to 12, including children with learning disabilities who need a patient and steady approach.

I teach students how to work through problems in clear steps, which helps them stay confident in fast-paced classes. I focus on structure, consistency, and simple explanations that make difficult concepts easier to understand.

Ajanth (In-Person and Online)

Hey, my name is Ajanth! I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Astronomical Sciences at the University of Toronto Mississauga.

Through my academic background, I specialize in Mathematics and Physics, while also offering support in English, History, and Geography for students in Grades 1–12.

My teaching philosophy is built around a piece of advice from one of my former teachers: always ask 'why?' In my experience, students are too often taught to memorize information or accept it as fact without ever understanding why it works the way it does.

When that question is never asked, real understanding never develops, and without understanding, it's easy to lose interest altogether.

My goal as a tutor is to always patiently guide every student through their unique challenges to reach a place where learning becomes fun.
